About your Therapist

Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Sex Therapist : Experienced in working with individuals who’ve experienced unimaginable events. My own life’s experience has allowed me to dedicate myself to helping others find their voice and move forward from generational, complex trauma, hard life transitions and other events while dealing with the shifts in relational and family dynamics.

My theoretical practice is founded on trauma-informed and person-centered interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused therapies, Somatic Therapy. I have helped children and young adults move past their struggles to find a path to healing.

Why the Ivy-?

The ivy has been regarded a symbol of survival and determination. Ivy is also a potent symbol of life, for it is one of the last plants to keep its green leaves. It clings to almost anything, climbing up toward the sky even as it roots deep into the earth. The power of bending in order to find a way forward, its stems, flexible and narrow, the leaves, pointed, like a triangle, represent clear intent and forward movement. Its return after it has suffered damage or has been severely cut back, represents the human spirit and the strength we all have, regardless of how harrowing our setbacks may have been. The ivy is intertwined in my name and I regard it as an illustration of my ability to help you grow in your healing journey. The ivy moon reminds us that it is time to focus more on our own individuality and the resilience involved in this potent symbol of life. Let us help you find your power in healing
